August and September 2012. Alex is the big 3!

Tumbling, Birthday, Pony Rides, and Family Photos!

Alex watched the Olympics with his mother and ever  since he  has wanted to take gymnastics.  We signed him up for this cute little toddler tumbling class.  He loved it.

Alex asked for a Toy Story Trampoline cake.  I had to deliver.  I made the mistake of packing up all my cake decorating tools, thinking we would be in a  house by the time his birthday came around.  So this is not my best work. He loved it and that is all that matters.  We had grandma's and Grandpa's over at Spencer's parents for cake and ice cream. Andy's family came too. Alex loves playing with his boys.  His favorite thing is root beer floats, so we made root beer float cupcakes to eat as well.

We were living with our parents waiting to move into our new house.  Both grandparents were there, Elicia and Dallas, along with Uncle Andy's family to help celebrate.

We took Alex to the Petting Zoo at Gardner Village.  He was the only one there.  He got to feed the calfs.

He was even able to play with the bunnies all by himself.

Because he was the only one there, they saddled the pony and took him all around the Village on a pony ride.  Usually they have the pony's hooked up to a thing that makes them go in circles.

I love the excited look on his face.

Dad needs to make one of these!  A tire swing made of tires to look like a tractor.

Alex is always good help.  He loves to make bread with grandma.  He even likes to help clean up.

We happen to be out and about one day and ran into the Mitt Romney bus.  They let us get on and have a tour of the bus.

Grandpa is a good sport and put on this Batman pajamas that we bought for dad, but they didn't fit.  Go grandpa!

Family pics!  Alex is getting so big and so handsome!

July and Saying Goodbye!

We made many friends in Elko, Nevada.  I thought I would be thrilled when we finally were able to move back to Utah.  As it turns out I was happy to be back and be around family once again, but I balled like a baby. The day we moved our stuff to Utah we drove up over the ridge in Wendover, and I could see the town of Wendover and the Salt flats.  I was alone driving the truck, Spencer was in the Uhaul and Spencer's parents were in their car with Alex.  Tears streamed down my face.  We stopped at the gas station there to fill up for the rest of the trip to Bountiful Utah.  I got out of the truck and could not contain my emotions. I truly miss it! I miss my friends, I miss my wards (yes we had two different wards in the three years we lived there.) I missed the family like closeness that we all had. Alex still has not stopped asking about Adrianna, Christopher, Payton, Ella, among a few of his friends. We can't forget De Anna's puppies!  I think the move was really hard on him.  All he has ever known is Elko. We love you ALL!!!!!!

Alex had to have an oxygen test done to see if he was breathing okay while he slept.  He had his adnoids out last december and now they are trying to figure out if he needs his tonsils out.  Good news he past the test with flying colors!
