Spring Fun!!!

Spring is finally here...or is it?!? Spring in Utah in more like all seasons in a couple months. In one week it can be sunny in the mid 80's one day, snowing the next, cool 50's one day, and then the perfect 70 the next!

We decided to take Alex to the BYU Easter Egg Hunt.  It started out really fun and ended up to be a complete bomb. Let's just say, we won't be doing that again.  All in all Alex had fun and that is all that matters.  At this age they don't understand the complete frustration that parents go through to make sure their kids are safe and having fun.  I could not believe how many adults can be so dishonest and cut throat competitive in a 0-3 year old easter egg hunt.  With a 5 egg limit per child, the parents are the ones diving for the eggs, scooping them up in great big arm fulls.  Kids are coming out of the chaos in tears with no eggs, and yet some lady (not her kids) is coming out with a basket full of 40 eggs. I wanted to knock the whole basket out of her arms and yell EGGS!!!! Seriously, all for a plastic egg with one piece of candy or cheap penny toy in it.

Alex was so cute on the bouncy slide.  He would go up and wouldn't want to come down. The girls that were volunteers thought he was the cutest thing.

Really I just think he is the smartest little boy in the world. He knows exactly what he is doing. He stayed on the slide until the pretty volunteer had to help him off of it.

Alex was just waiting for his opportunity to meet Cosmo.  This is the real reason we were there.

The Easter bunny was just an exciting extra surprise.

Where did Alex go...
There he is!!  Okay, a little too old for that. Just bored waiting for the egg hunt to start.
Here is Spencer giving me the look of fear.  Hundreds if not thousands of people lining up for the easter egg hunt. This face seems to say "Please don't make me go in there."
The aftermath of the easter egg hunt.
Alex got more than 5 eggs because spencer could not even help him. With all the women laying on the ground he couldn't even bend over. He had one or two eggs more and we made sure we gave them to kids who did not get any.
After the hunt, the BYU football team was having it's spring game.  It was fun. The sun was out and the weather was perfect.

Alex and dad tried to meet some of the players, but it was packed.
In the parking lot, we ran into one of the players. Uani Unga! He gave Alex his playing gloves and signed it for him. Something that wouldn't have happened if we were in a big crowd of people.

Ahh the ZOO!!!  Alex can't get enough of the zoo.  So we bought a pass. Last year we did not and spent more than two passes worth.  I think Alex is going to be a zoo keeper.

Easter!!  The Easter bunny brought Alex lots of fun things.  Not much candy this year, thank goodness!  He got some books, a movie and matching cards.  We can't forget the little toy bunny he brought him too!

The family came to our house for Easter dinner.  Thank goodness too.  They were able to watch Alex after dinner while Spencer took me to insta care.  I was so sick. I could not breath because of my Asthma and Allergies.  Apparently moving back to Utah it is worse. Good news it's all under control now.
Alex and i went to go to the zoo with an old friend of ours and her two little girls.  After seeing how packed it was we ended up at This is The Place Park.  We had fun on the train ride.

Alex and his two new friends.

Alex was in seventh heaven here. He got to go to the petting zoo, hold a bunny, and ride a pony.

Not the real thing, but Alex even milked a cow.

We have to watch this kid. He moves quick.  She is even older than him by two years.  We are in trouble when he is a teenager.  Watch out ladies!!

Off to the Bee's game!  We got 4 tickets from someone and they were one row up from the Bee's dugout.  We took Criscell's brother Dallas with us.  It was fun. We didn't stay for the whole game. It was quite cold when we left. Dallas said he could not feel his fingers.

Alex  was a little unsure about the bee.  We have always told him that bees sting and to stay away.  How do you tell a three year old that the giant bee is fine.  He warmed up to him and by the end of the night he had hugged him and got his mini baseball bat signed by him.

Road Trip!!! finally!  We love our little road trips. It has been a while.  With the moving and settling in, we have not had the chance. Sunday we drove south on redwood road, when it ended we turned around and headed west at the nearest turn off.  We ended up in Tintic and Mammouth.  Cool little scenic drive.

Alex started Itty Bitty Ball on May 6th. He is having so much fun with all the little baseball obstacles and training's. You would think it gets all of his energy out, but you would be mistaken.
