My Birthday Weekend!!!

So, I am trying to play catch up here. This was my birthday weekend. I have had a series of unfortunate events in the last two weeks that has kept me away from my blog. It all started Monday the 4th when I gracefully fell down our basement stairs that are not finished. I hurt my foot pretty good. So that was one trip to insta care. Tuesday morning Spencer left for Chicago. Wednesday I came down with the flu. Thursday one visit to the emergency room with my dad to get rehydrated. Then you might as well chaulk me up with one doctors visit today the 14th because I am still not better. I feel yucky :0( Any ways back to my birthday weekend.

On the 23rd we went to the Boutiful parade because my grandpa was one of the Grand Marshall's. He looked so sleek in that convertable. I was fun to see him and the rest of the family that we haven't seen in a while. Even my aunt from Vegas came up. Congrats grandpa!!

Grandpa
One of my favorite entries in the parade would have to be, well... yes, the Highway Patrol on their motorcycles. I think that is officially the only time you want to see them with their sirens blarring down the street. I don't know if you can see them very well behind me. Spencer was still on his way home from one of his trips so I went solo.
Bryan and Jen came down to see grandpa too and then they played a diseapering act because Bryan had to work early in Logan the next morning. Rumor has it they may have been caught at Robintino's before they left to go back home and didn't invite me. I still love them.

Then Spencer got home from the airport, a little grumpy I must tell you. Traffic was horrible getting into Bountiful because of the parade and he just wanted some food. We got him fed and then went up to the fireworks. Here are some of our nephews at the fireworks

This picture of us looks crazy because we took it while the fireworks were going off.

The next morning was my BIRTHDAY!!! I drug Spencer to the Bountiful carnival. I always go to the carnival on my birthday. I have to have the BBQ sandwich, corn on the cob and cotton candy. Yummmmy!! We met our friend Julie and her boys there for lunch. Spencer gave them a fun wagon ride. We walked around for a while had a snow cone and went back to her house to get out of the heat. It was hot.

After that we went home took a nap and got ready for dinner. We were going to go to the Cheesecake Factory, but we were too tired to drive out there. We settled for Famous Daves. We invited Spencer's sister and her husband to come along. It was good eatin' and fun. After dinner we went back to their house to play games. I don't have anymore pics of the weekend, but we did end up going to the Cheesecake Factory. I am not a big fan of cheesecake so I know it is weird that I would pick there. For some reason I thought maybe theirs was something spectacular. It was cheesecake and I am still not a huge fan. It is too rich for me. Spencer loves it though. The food on the other hand was awesome. I think I found a new favorite place to eat.

So we can't forget the most important part of my Birthday. My present from Spencer. He got me a TRAMPOLINE!!!! I was way excited. I love it!! Yeah for Spencer!! I will have to post some pictures of me jumping on it later.

Sorry you didn't end up getting invited. It was s'posed to be me and B, but when we got back to the car, Dallas saw us rocket off, called and begged for a ride out (he'd picked the worst parking space, up by the garage and was blocked). Since we were on our way to eat, we invited him. I wish we'd thought to call you as it would have been more fun, but our tummies were growling. ;)

What a fun gift! Happy birthday Criscell! And way to go Spencer! I want one for fun AND for the way it helps the grass grow greener underneath! Who needs Ferta-lawn if you have a trampoline?

I completely spaced your birthday this year. No card. No phone call. Not even a text. I am so sorry!!! What a slacker friend I am. I hope you had a good day and I love that Spencer got you a trampoline; you'll rock that!
